These Tournament Rules and all State, Federal, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Regulations shall apply at all times. Professional Guides providing services on Cedar Creek Lake and employees of KCKL/KLVQ and their immediate family members are not eligible to compete in the Tournament.

Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted black bass at least 14” in length will be weighed in.

Contestants entering by mail must check-in with Tournament Officials before fishing to receive a Tournament Decal which must be displayed on their boat or motor in a location visible to other anglers. ENTERING IN PERSON OR HAVING SOMEONE ENTER FOR YOU IS CONSIDERED CHECKING- IN. ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR DECAL, NO FURTHER CHECK-IN IS REQUIRED.

Entry Fees must be paid before any fishing on Tournament days. No Refunds after March 11th. Substitution of anglers or day elected to compete will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Boats may be launched at any time from any Cedar Creek ramp location, including Log Cabin Park, but NO FISHING until 7:00 AM each Tournament day. The only OFF-LIMITS period for FISHING activity is from Midnight to 7:00 AM on Tournament days.

All Contestants must wear a Coast Guard approved life vest when the outboard engine is running.

There is no limit to the number of people fishing in a boat provided there is compliance with Coast Guard regulations. Wading, small paddle boats, tube fishing, etc. are acceptable fishing methods. You may have non-Contestants in the boat but they may only assist with the landing net.

Tournament fishing hours are between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM on the days of the Tournament.

Fish must be caught from Cedar Creek Lake during Tournament fishing hours by the Contestant presenting the fish for weigh- in. All fish must be weighed on the Tournament day when caught.

Fish must be kept in a livewell or on a stringer and must be alive to be weighed-in. Contestants shall not allow any fish caught by them to be weighed in by any other Contestant.

The Hourly Big Bass contest weigh-ins start with the 7-8 Hour and continue Hourly until the final Tournament weigh-in time of 3:00 PM. Anglers must be in the weigh-in line before the end of any Hourly period to weigh-in and be eligible for that time interval of the Tournament.

No fishing within 100 yards of the Log Cabin Park ramp. This area is also a NO WAKE AREA.

All fishing will be done with rod and reel and artificial lures only (pork rinds are acceptable). Trolling with the outboard motor is prohibited.

A Contestant is not permitted to fish nearer than 25 yards from another Contestant which is anchored, tied up, or fishing a shoreline unless permission is granted.

There is no limit to the number of times you may weigh-in fish for the Big Bass of the Hour contests. However, you may win only one (1) prize per Hour. Fish weighed in the Hourly contests do not carry forward from Hour to Hour. The two (2) largest bass a Contestant enters during the entire Tournament will become the Contestant’s “Big Bass” and “Tie Breaker” to qualify for the additional FINAL TOP 20 Prizes. Only one (1) Place per Contestant will be paid in the overall FINAL TOP 20 standings.

All fish become property of the KCKL Bass Tournament for subsequent live release.

The Tournament will be held regardless of weather conditions. Announcements and Hourly standings will be broadcast on KCKL 95.9 FM. BRING YOUR PORTABLE RADIO.

Any applicable taxes, title fees, registration or other fees resulting from Contestant winnings are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

All applications for entry in the KCKL/KLVQ Big Bass Tournament and determination of winners and rights to awards are subject to the sole approval and discretion of the Tournament Committee whose decision thereon is FINAL.
